Sequins add movement and changing reflections to a patch, but the surface can catch on neighboring materials and alter how a motif is read. Buyers should inspect the whole appliqué: base, sequin coverage, edge, backing, and attachment on the intended garment.
What to decide
Provide artwork at physical size and identify where sequins are required versus embroidery or exposed base. Review direction, overlap, and any reversible effect on a real sample. Fine lettering may need a different construction to remain legible.
Place the appliqué on the garment and inspect movement near sleeves, bags, seat surfaces, or other contact areas. Confirm backing and attachment with the decorator. Run handling and care observations relevant to the item, noting loose elements or snagging without assuming one sample predicts every fabric. If the design uses a reversible sequin direction, record the intended resting appearance and how consistently it returns after handling.
Approve packing that prevents the sequin face from rubbing against hardware or another patch. Keep the accepted sample, sequin color reference, base material, dimensions, backing, and artwork revision together.
