TPU Embossed Logo Patches: Specify the Relief

Specify a TPU-identified embossed patch through confirmed construction, relief hierarchy, true-size typography, attachment, and applied review.

Buyer perspective

Embossed is a visual description until the supplier defines the quoted patch. A buyer needs to know where the relief rises, what material and backing are proposed, and whether a thin letter stroke survives at the finished dimensions. Build a sample request from those questions rather than approving a magnified rendering.

Specification

Measure the embossed hierarchy, not just the badge width

An embossed crest is quoted at a plausible outside size, but its smallest lettering sits inside a deep border. The buyer needs to know what relief and type survive after manufacturing, attachment, and normal viewing on the garment.

Zone sheet: Mark the base, border, main symbol, secondary letters, and recesses on flat artwork. Supply a cross-section request at the tightest combination of level and color.
Scale sheet: Print the design at finished width and inspect narrow counters and gaps. Ask the maker to mark details requiring simplification for its selected TPU-identified construction.
Applied sheet: Confirm reverse and attachment, then review a completed garment for edge, tactile height, legibility, and movement at the intended panel.

An approved relief map must make the smallest important details inspectable at production scale.

Order the depth

Mark the base plane, primary logo, secondary text, and any recessed field on a flat drawing. Include a side-view or cross-section request for the important height transitions. Show color changes separately so a dark shadow in the preview is not mistaken for a molded step.

Check real-size detail

Print the outside patch dimensions and inspect counters in letters, narrow strokes, border width, and spaces between raised areas. Ask the maker to identify simplifications needed for its exact process. Keep the final sample tied to the accepted artwork revision.

State the garment or accessory, fabric, panel, reverse access, and required edge appearance. Confirm the exact backing and method in writing. Inspect a completed item for legibility, edge contact, fabric effect, and relevant handling.
