Buyer perspective
Stone colors should be selected with the shirt, not independently from it. A pale crystal on white fabric can appear subtle, while the same motif on black may dominate the garment. Fabric texture and nearby print also change how an arrangement reads. Compare decorated samples under conditions close to how customers will encounter them.

Changing stones and garment colors together makes it difficult to know why one sample works. Begin with a controlled comparison using the same motif, size, placement, and stone specification on actual candidate blanks.
Inspect contrast of clear and colored stones on the production fabric under ordinary light and at customer viewing distance.
Repeat with the same design and exposure; note whether fine outlines or negative spaces gain or lose definition.
If another graphic shares the panel, review their combined visual weight and any clash in color or placement.
Approve a separate shirt-and-stone pairing when one palette does not carry across all blanks consistently.
What to decide
Select a small set of actual garment colors and the same motif, physical size, and stone specification for each. Photograph them with consistent light and exposure. Keep color names and supplier codes beside the physical samples so a screen image does not become the only reference.
Decide whether the stones should be the headline, a tonal accent, or a small point of contrast. Inspect fine lettering and negative spaces on each blank. Compare the design at ordinary viewing distance and on the smallest and largest garment sizes.
Use the production fabric and application process, then review appearance after relevant care. Record shirt SKU, color, stone codes, artwork revision, placement, and accepted sample. A change in blank supplier or dye lot may justify another visual check.
