Rhinestone Carrier Sheet Handling Guide
Handle rhinestone carrier sheets through identification, supported storage, damage inspection, placement, and first-article application.
Buyer perspective
A carrier sheet keeps stones arranged until application, but it can still be creased, contaminated, or confused with a similar design. Start with the specific supplier instructions for that construction. A neat sheet is only the first checkpoint; the finished garment remains the application proof.
What to decide
Build a brief that can be tested
- Scene 01
Receive and identify
Match pack code, artwork revision, orientation, size, and stone colors to the order. Inspect a representative sheet on a clean flat surface for missing stones, wrinkles, displaced rows, or damaged areas. Keep defective examples identified for supplier review.
- Scene 02
Move without redesigning
Use the support and storage method specified for that sheet. Do not trim, stack, fold, or tape the carrier in ways that change stone spacing unless the supplier has approved the operation. Protect the exposed arrangement during internal transport to the press.
- Scene 03
Prove the first garment
Place the identified sheet on the actual blank with measured references. Follow current process instructions, then inspect after cooling for orientation, alignment, stones, carrier release, and fabric effects. Hold the remaining quantity if the first article differs from the accepted reference.
Specification
Recheck placement after a carrier is moved
A transfer sheet is identified at receiving, then moved to a different press station. Its carrier may still be intact, but its placement marks and orientation need confirmation on the actual blank before application.
- Sheet envelope
- Measure the outside stone layout and compare it with the approved artwork, including top and bottom orientation. Flag any displaced row or damaged corner.
- Garment reference
- Measure from stable garment points such as neckline, side seam, or centerline to the intended design envelope. Do not center by the carrier's trimmed edge alone.
- First article
- Apply one sheet under current instructions and inspect alignment after cooling. Hold the remainder if the transferred outline differs from the approved placement record.
Carrier handling is complete only when the motif lands correctly on the garment, not when the sheet reaches the press intact.
