A fair buying decision uses matched artwork on the same intended garment or accessory and keeps each candidate's construction identified.
Options
Material names become useful only when the compared builds are otherwise controlled. Ask for the same logo, physical size, relief intent, color, and placement in both candidate samples, with formulation and backing stated separately.
Examine detail, depth, sheen, and color under the same light, noting design adaptations needed by either process.
Handle each patch on the intended garment or bag panel to assess flexibility, edge contact, and weight.
Trial attachment and relevant care or handling for both identified constructions rather than extending one material's result to the other.

Request the same finished size, outline, colors, and smallest lettering for both physical samples. Compare depth and edge detail under consistent light. If the maker changes line width or color to suit one process, mark that as a design difference rather than attributing it to material alone.
