Patch Price Factors: Build a Comparable RFQ
Understand which construction and order variables should be visible in a custom patch quote.
Buyer perspective
Two patch prices cannot be compared honestly if they describe different sizes, stitch coverage, mould detail, backing, quantities, or packaging. A buyer does not need to know a supplier's internal cost ledger to request a transparent scope. The goal is to identify which choices change the quoted item and which charges sit outside the unit figure.

Specify the physical object
Record finished dimensions, shape, edge, color count, artwork detail, material, thickness or stitch character, and backing. For a raised or moulded patch, include relief and tooling assumptions. Ask each bidder to mark deviations from the reference sample.

List project-level charges
Request setup or tooling, sampling, inspection, labels, individual packing, master cartons, and shipping as separate lines where applicable. Clarify whether the quoted quantity is per design or pooled and whether taxes or duties are included.

Compare at equal quality
Place candidates beside the approved sample and evaluate edge finish, detail, attachment, and after-care observations. A cheaper offer that changes the construction is an alternative proposal, not a direct price improvement.

Reconcile the patch quote line by line
A patch quotation can bundle distinct activities into the unit figure or list them separately. Before comparing bids, normalize what will actually be delivered and at which order quantity.
