Wholesale Transfer Quotes: Compare the Same Scope

Compare wholesale transfer quotes with defined artwork, physical size, construction, variants, samples, packing, quantity, and delivery basis.

Buyer perspective

A unit price is not comparable when one quote includes setup, sampling, and separated artwork while another assumes an approved design and single-color bulk pack. Define one buying scope before asking suppliers for numbers. The quote should expose its assumptions without inventing a standard transfer price.

Buying matrix

Normalize three transfer quotations to one buying brief

One supplier includes an artwork proof, another prices only repeat sheets, and a third includes application to finished shirts. Their headline unit figures cannot be compared as given. Create a common scope matrix before deciding which proposal merits sampling.

Line itemEvidence to record
Product rowFix transfer construction, artwork revision, outside size, carrier, color or stone map, and accepted sample requirement. Mark every deviation from that specification.
Work rowSeparate artwork cleanup, sampling, setup, packing, inspection, and application to garments. Do not hide one-time work inside an unexplained unit total.
Commercial rowCompare quantities by variant, current minimum, delivery basis, revision charges, and lead-time assumptions. Recalculate on a shared destination and order mix.

The best comparable quote is the one whose full scope and accepted sample answer the same brief.

Review pointBuyer evidence

01Specify the deliverable

Record transfer type, artwork revision, outside dimensions, color or stone layout, carrier, expected garment, and the physical item to be shipped. Ask whether the supplier is quoting only sheets or also application to finished shirts.

02Expose separate work

List artwork cleanup, proof, sample, tooling if applicable, variant changes, special packing, and inspection as separate questions. Break quantity out by design and color. A total across many motifs may not follow the same pricing basis as one repeated design.

03Normalize commercial terms

Ask each supplier for current minimum, unit basis, setup charges, delivery point, lead-time assumptions, and how revisions are priced. Compare quotes at the same quantity and destination. Verify the accepted sample before letting a lower number override construction differences.
