Bulk Packing for Heat-Transfer Patches

Keep heat-transfer patch assortments identifiable and protected through inner-pack design, count checks, and receiving labels.

Buyer perspective

Bulk packing for transfer patches needs to protect both the decorative face and the carrier or backing that the decorator will handle. The carton is not just a shipping container: its organization determines whether the right design reaches the right garment line without an avoidable sorting error.

What to decide

Build a brief that can be tested

01

Group by approved identity

Pack each artwork revision, physical size, colorway, and attachment construction as a separate line item unless the receiving plan expressly allows a mix. Label inner packs with a buyer-recognizable code and count. A motif nickname alone may not distinguish near-identical versions.

02

Protect the application surface

Ask for a filled pack trial using the actual patches. Check that carrier sheets remain flat, raised surfaces do not press into neighbors, and the pack can be opened without bending or losing small pieces. Review moisture and heat exposure relevant to the planned route without claiming a universal storage life.

03

Design the receiving check

Match the carton list to the order's SKU matrix. Agree whether receivers will count inner packs, individual units, or both, and record how shortages or damaged carriers should be reported. Photograph approved packing so the next order can be compared.

Buying matrix

Tie every pack to a production line item

Decorators need to identify a transfer patch quickly and confidently. Use a matrix that links each inner-pack label to the purchase order, artwork version, garment program, and count expected at the receiving bench.

Line itemEvidence to record
IdentityRecord motif code, revision, finished dimensions, colorway, and construction so similar-looking packs cannot be exchanged.
ProtectionDocument carrier orientation, interleaving or support, and what the filled pack looked like at approval.
ReconciliationShow packs per carton and units per pack, then define how a receiver reports a short or damaged package.

Approve the packed example alongside the product sample; a perfect patch is not useful if the receiving team cannot assign it to the right job.
