Fulfilment evaluation

Direct-to-Customer Transfer Fulfilment: Control the Handoff

Evaluate address, packing, privacy, and exception controls before asking about direct shipment.

Buyer perspective

A custom transfer may be sold through a reseller while the physical goods follow another route. That arrangement needs an explicit fulfilment agreement; the existence of this guide does not mean LCHOTFIX offers dropshipping or blind shipping. Buyers should first define the customer experience and the data each party would handle.

Sample protocol

Test the proposed fulfilment path end to end

Before making a storefront promise, run a controlled trial with a non-sensitive test address and an identified product. Observe what the recipient sees and what records each party receives.

  1. STEP 1

    Data

Verify address transfer, order reference, access controls, and how a correction reaches the dispatch operator.

  2. STEP 2

    Parcel

Inspect sender identity, paperwork, product label, return address, and packaging against the agreed reseller presentation.

  3. STEP 3

    Exception

Simulate an address change or damaged item and document who responds, pays, and informs the customer.

A successful physical shipment does not by itself approve privacy, billing, support, or branded-packing terms.

What to decide

Build a brief that can be tested

01Review file

Map the order record

Specify how artwork version, quantity, destination, recipient details, and order reference would travel from seller to manufacturer. Identify who validates addresses and who can correct them before dispatch. Keep customer data limited to the information needed for the agreed workflow.

02Review file

Agree on packing identity

Ask whether item labels, inserts, sender details, and carton marks can match the reseller's requirements. Inspect a packing sample before treating white-label presentation as approved. A blank exterior alone does not settle paperwork or return-address questions.

03Review file

Plan exceptions

Decide who receives tracking, handles a damaged parcel, reconciles a partial shipment, and contacts the end customer. Request written feasibility and commercial terms for the exact countries and products involved; do not infer these services from a catalog photograph.
