Buyer perspective
A brand may need several labels on one garment, but each mark has a different job. A neck identity, size marker, care instruction, and external logo should not be specified as one interchangeable label. Start with a garment map and decide what the wearer, retailer, and production team each need to see.
Approval gate
A wholesale label program may involve more than one garment, position, and attachment route. Decide which features must remain consistent and which are allowed to change between the neck, hem, sleeve, or accessory application.
Record the approved logo artwork, colors, readable dimensions, and revision for every label variation.
Photograph each label on the intended garment location so spacing and orientation are judged in context.
Check the physical sample with its actual backing or attachment method, not just a loose front view.
Release the program only when its variation map and representative finished-item samples agree.
What to decide
List each label's information, visibility, and expected contact with skin. Keep legally required content separate from decorative branding, and verify the rules for the destination market rather than assuming one universal care or origin layout.
Print final text and artwork at the intended dimensions. Check letter openings, contrast, and the allowance needed for sewing or application. A large on-screen mockup can conceal a cramped label that is unreadable once installed.
Test the proposed construction and placement on the actual fabric. Note seam direction, stretch, and care conditions. Save the approved garment photo and label revision together so size or color variants follow the same system.
