Print the complete badge outline at intended size, including pointed edges or stones extending beyond the base. Place it on the smallest and largest planned shirts and review worn views. For a sleeve or hem badge, make a separate rule rather than recycling the chest coordinates.

Confirm the exact backing or sewing method and attach to the target blank. Inspect tilt, contact, comfort, and interaction with seams after normal handling. Save measurements and a photograph tied to the shirt and badge revisions.

Check a chest badge at both ends of the size run

A badge is centered on a medium T-shirt and the team assumes the coordinate can be copied to the smallest and largest sizes. The garment width, neckline, and sleeve geometry change enough to make that assumption worth testing.

Landmark sheet: Name the blank and measure from its actual neckline and side or shoulder seams. Draw the target center and complete badge outline, including any raised stones or pointed fabric base.
Size sheet: Place the same physical outline on representative small and large garments. Photograph worn views and note whether the badge sits in the intended visual zone.
Applied sheet: Attach by the quoted method, inspect tilt and edge comfort, and save a placement diagram tied to each blank cut. Add a second controlled rule if one coordinate fails.

A stable placement is a garment-and-size specification, not the phrase center chest.
