Buyer perspective
An SS1 product label suggests a fine-stone design, but a buyer still needs the quoted stone dimensions and an actual sample. Small stones can make curves and letters appear intricate under magnification while becoming unreadable at normal viewing distance. Approve the motif as a finished garment graphic, not only as a close-up sheet.
What to decide
Studio study 01
Ask the supplier to identify the stone style, actual size, color, and carrier for the selected reference. Do not use a size code from one catalog as a universal diameter. Mark substitutions and mixed stone sizes explicitly on the artwork.
Studio study 02
Print the art at its intended outside dimensions and examine internal letter openings, joins, and turns. Review the proof at close range and at a normal garment-viewing distance. Widen or simplify details that merge visually before preparing a transfer sample.
Studio study 03
Check carrier integrity and stone placement before application. Follow the quoted supplier's current instructions on the actual blank, then inspect cooled alignment, missing stones, fabric effects, and relevant care response. Record the accepted revision.
Specification
A tiny-stone monogram is crisp when enlarged on a monitor. On a shirt, its narrow counters may close and its outer dots may become the dominant feature. Freeze the intended footprint before judging whether the fine-stone route is useful.
A magnified layout is not an approved garment graphic until real-size readability and application pass.
