Buyer perspective
A printed image and a rhinestone accent can occupy the same design, but the phrase DTF combo does not by itself define the print, carrier, adhesive, or application order. Ask for the exact proposed construction before writing instructions. The buyer's task is to keep the two effects aligned and useful on the finished garment.
Approval gate
A design combines a DTF color field with rhinestone highlights. The layout proof can show placement, but it cannot establish whether the printed edge and stones behave well together on the intended garment. Treat the complete applied composition as the approval unit.
Label the printed areas and the stone positions on one revision-controlled file. Check that tiny printed details are not concealed by stones and that stones do not cross an edge that must remain sharp.
Use the exact garment and the supplier's current sequence for each component. Record alignment, carrier removal, and any change in the printed surface after the stone step; do not infer a universal press setting.
Inspect the cooled result at normal viewing distance, then follow a care trial appropriate to the garment. Record both print appearance and stone retention against the same sample identifier.
Authorize a specific combined sample and process, not two independently attractive loose transfers.
What to decide
Use print for fine imagery or color fields only where the design benefits from it; reserve stones for highlights that survive at physical size. Provide separate artwork layers with registration marks or a supplier-approved alignment method. Check that raised stones do not obscure essential print.
Request the written construction and current application sequence for this combination and fabric. Do not assume that a method used for a print-only or stone-only sheet transfers unchanged. Identify which party will apply and inspect the combined item.
Apply the quoted build to the actual blank. Inspect whether the printed boundary stays visible beside the stones, whether the decorated panel feels acceptable, and what changes after the garment's relevant care trial. Archive the accepted print layer, stone map, blank, and process revision for reorders.
