Buyer perspective
Two TPU labels can share a silhouette yet present very differently under directed light. Reflective and standard finishes should be compared at the same physical size and on the same garment. Otherwise artwork scale, color, or fabric contrast can be mistaken for a material difference.
What to decide
Decision lens 01
Specify identical logo geometry, dimensions, relief, placement, and receiving fabric where possible. Ask the maker to identify each finish and any backing difference. Review both in ordinary light before moving to directed-light photographs.

Apply samples to the intended fabric and inspect edge, texture, bending, and legibility. Record camera and light positions during the reflective comparison. Run the care or handling observations relevant to the actual product rather than relying on a loose showroom board.

If the mark is decorative, describe the observed visual effect without implying certified visibility. If a functional claim is required, obtain product-specific evidence for the finished garment from the responsible testing owner. Keep the accepted sample and finish identity with the reorder specification.
Options
A fair reflective-versus-standard review needs matched geometry and a shared receiving garment. If the artwork or relief changes between samples, note that as a separate reason for the visual difference.
Examine color, legibility, raised edge, and fabric contrast in ordinary light using the same placement.
Use a fixed lamp or flash setup and identical camera exposure; record viewing angle and distance.
Inspect applied samples after handling and the relevant care routine for surface or edge change.
Specify the selected finish by sample code and keep any visibility certification discussion outside the visual comparison.
