Check chest, sleeve, back, and pocket locations while the jacket is worn. Measure from stable seams and note where arms bend or straps cross. A large patch can distort a sleeve or disappear under a bag strap.

Buyer perspective
A jacket offers prominent patch space but also thick seams, pockets, linings, and movement zones. The sample should be attached to the exact outerwear construction, not a loose scrap. Denim and lined jackets may require different assembly decisions even with identical artwork.

Plan attachment access
For sewing, inspect whether a lining or pocket bag blocks the reverse. For any proposed heat method, confirm the exact backing, fabric tolerance, and current instructions. Test a representative garment before assuming either route works.
Case note03
Approve an aged sample
Inspect the patch edge, surrounding fabric, and seam appearance after ordinary movement and the jacket's care routine. Keep one approved placement photograph per garment model and size range.
Options
One artwork, two jacket constructions
The same embroidered artwork is proposed for an unlined denim jacket and a lined outerwear style. Matching front photographs hide a different assembly problem on the reverse. Compare each garment's access and care before treating the patch as a shared specification.
Compare the reverse
Identify pocket bags, lining, seams, and stitching visibility at the proposed location on each jacket. Confirm whether sewing can reach the outer shell without trapping an unintended layer.
Test by garment
Apply the quoted attachment method to one of each actual model. Inspect outer-face distortion, reverse finish, wearer contact, and relevant care behavior.
Record two outcomes
If one jacket needs a moved placement or different assembly, assign separate location and process records even when the patch artwork is identical.
Do not let a shared design file imply a shared application method across structurally different jackets.
