A personalized patch order contains many small variations even when the total quantity looks large. The commercially relevant unit may be a name, size, color, or construction. There is no defensible universal minimum from the available records, so ask for a quote against the exact mix.
What to decide
Build a brief that can be tested
01Count unique versions
List every name, letter style, finished width, border, color, and backing request. Decide whether names are pre-arranged or assembled from individual characters. The pictured alphabet is a component reference, not evidence that finished names are stocked.
02Control proofing
Lock the spelling and capitalization data and assign one approver. Test a short and long name at physical size; check spacing and readable height. Define how corrections after proof approval will be handled in the quote.
03Request comparable pricing
Provide quantities per exact version, packaging needs, destination, and desired schedule. Ask the supplier which setup or sample activities recur for each unique name and what current minimum applies. Keep those answers tied to the quoted construction.

Personalized patches can contain many names but only a few common materials and sizes. A quote becomes clearer when the buyer separates shared construction choices from one-off text variations, without assuming any universal minimum quantity.
